Ring with a Pearl and Tourmaline

Baroque-shaped South Sea pearl, indigolite tourmaline, hammered 750 white gold.

I bought this stone at a trade fair a year ago; it was so extraordinary and the colour was rare. Indicolite tourmalines come from Africa. I kept the stone waiting on my desk for a long time, until I came upon a very irregularly shaped baroque pearl. The pearl's irregularity inspired us to opt for a matt, hammered surface on the white gold.
