The brilliant-coloured Paraíba tourmaline is a newcomer to the gemstones market. The first specimens were not discovered until the 1980s and, at first, only in one small deposit in the Brazilian state of Paraíba. In addition to the Paraíba area, which has now run dry, these rare gemstones can also be found in Nigeria and Mozambique. Paraíba tourmaline contains copper and is usually neon blue or green, but there are also sapphire blue and violet varieties.
Jewellery reminds me of the beauty in life.
